Here is the free Cays To Coins personal budget worksheet. This document is a fillable PDF form with automated calculations to assist you with planning the allocation of your money. For ease of use, there are pre-determined sections and each ‘Total’ amount is automatically calculated for your review.

Below explains the sections on the template.

• Month – This is where you record the month for which you are planning.
• Snapshot – This section is automatically calculated based on your inputs in the worksheet and gives you a quick overview of your budget figures. You do not need to complete this section manually.
• Income – For this section, input all of your income that you expect to receive for the budgeting period. If your income fluctuates, estimate the lowest amount you expect to receive and enter it in the worksheet.
• Expenses – This section is separated into two subsections – mandatory and other. Estimate the amount of expenses you must pay for this month and input them into the spreadsheet.
• Savings and Investments – For this section, estimate the amount of money you intend to save and/or invest and input the information into the worksheet.
• Bucket Savings – This section is optional and records any goal for which you are saving. To avoid double counting, if you are completing this section, deduct it from your savings amount recorded under ‘Savings and Investments’ prior to completing the worksheet.
• Notes – Record any notes/tips/lessons from the budget period. You can do this at any time during the budget period. This section is available to help you reflect on your habits.

This budget is intended to account for every dollar you earn, so do not be surprised if your discretionary amount is low. If you have extra discretionary monies, feel free to allocate them to extra savings or treat yourself to something nice under ‘Other Expenses’.
